Description:
At 233 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles southwest of Americus to 10 miles southeast of
Burns, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Cottonwood Falls, Madison, Strong City, Hamilton, Cassoday, Bazaar,
Matfield Green, Eureka City Lake, Thrall, Saffordville, and Wonsevu.
This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 88 and 116.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
