Description:
At 934 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Baldwin City to near Princeton to near Harris to
5 miles north of Westphalia to 8 miles southwest of Gridley, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Garnett, Wellsville, Richmond, Colony, Greeley, Princeton, Lane,
Rantoul, Kincaid, and Lone Elm.
This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 185 and 187, and
between mile markers 189 and 198.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for east central
Kansas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
