Description:
At 849 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles north of
Harris, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Garnett, Burlington, Waverly, Richmond, Williamsburg, New Strawn,
Melvern, Greeley, Princeton, Lane, Rantoul, Westphalia, Beto
Junction, Harris, and John Redmond Reservoir.
This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 154 and 176.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for east central
Kansas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
