Description: 
At 556 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Marion, moving east at 20 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR EASTERN MARION COUNTY! HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. Locations impacted include... Marion, Florence, Lincolnville, Lost Springs, Elmdale, Cedar Point, and Hymer.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for central and east central Kansas. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
