* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as cold as 22 to 31 degrees, with the overall-coldest readings favoring counties north and west of the Nebraska Tri Cities. * WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east central, and south central Nebraska, including the Tri Cities. * WHEN...From late Friday night through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another round of at least slightly sub-freezing temperatures appears possible the following night... late Saturday night into Sunday morning...and another Freeze Watch may eventually be needed for that time frame as well.
Instruction: 
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
