Northern Platte County in west central Missouri... * Until 330 PM CDT. * At 256 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Nortonville, or 8 miles southwest of Atchison, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... St. Joseph, Atchison, Dearborn, Camden Point, Rushville, Lewis and Clark Village, De Kalb, Iatan, Faucett, Potter, Cummings, and Bean Lake. This includes the following highways...
