At 453 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near White Cloud, or 8 miles southwest of Mound City, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Mound City, Maitland, Forest City, White Cloud, Big Lake, Fortescue, and Bigelow. This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 75 and 89.
