At 457 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cleveland, or 7 miles east of Spring Hill, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This storm has had a history of producing large hail. Locations impacted include... Kansas City, Overland Park, Lee's Summit, Leawood, Raytown, Grandview, Belton, Prairie Village, Raymore, Greenwood, Peculiar, Louisburg, Mission Hills, Lake Winnebago, Cleveland, Bucyrus, Stanley, and Stilwell. This includes the following highways... Interstate 470 between mile markers 0 and 6. Interstate 435 between mile markers 69 and 77. Interstate 49 between mile markers 168 and 183.
