...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Kansas... Smoky Hill River at Enterprise affecting Dickinson County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Smoky Hill River at Enterprise. * WHEN...Until late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Low land agricultural flooding occurs from near Enterprise to near Junction City. At 26.0 feet, Valley north of the Kansas Highway 43 bridge on the north side of Enterprise floods. At 27.0 feet, Railroad tracks near Enterprise flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 25.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue to rise to a crest of 27.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
