...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Salt Creek near Ada affecting Ottawa County. Solomon River near Niles affecting Saline, Ottawa and Dickinson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Solomon River near Niles. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into the low portion of a cultivated field on the right bank, upstream, adjacent to the gage site. At 23.0 feet, Rural overflow begins around the community of Niles. At 24.0 feet, Low land flooding continues along the river. At 27.0 feet, Arrowhead Road west of Niles floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
