...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Smoky Hill River at Enterprise affecting Dickinson County. Chapman Creek near Chapman affecting Dickinson County. Salt Creek near Ada affecting Ottawa County. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Solomon River near Niles affecting Saline, Ottawa and Dickinson Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Solomon River near Niles. * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into the low portion of a cultivated field on the right bank, upstream, adjacent to the gage site. At 23.0 feet, Rural overflow begins around the community of Niles. At 24.0 feet, Low land flooding continues along the river. At 27.0 feet, Arrowhead Road west of Niles floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 22.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 29.2 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
