...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas...
Chapman Creek near Chapman affecting Dickinson County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Chapman Creek near Chapman.
* WHEN...From this morning to tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Lowland flooding occurs from near the town
of Industry upstream from Chapman to the Smoky Hill River
downstream from Chapman.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 14.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this morning to a crest of 21.3 feet this evening. It will
then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
