Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...
Lyon Creek near Junction City affecting Geary County.
Smoky Hill River near Junction City affecting Geary County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Lyon Creek near Junction City.
* WHEN...From this morning to this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, The north bank of the creek floods near
the Highway 77 bridge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this morning to a crest of 21.5 feet this morning. It will
then fall below flood stage this morning.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
