Vermillion Creek near Wamego affecting Pottawatomie County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Vermillion Creek near Wamego. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Minlor flooding occurs along Vermillion Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.8 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to flood stage this afternoon. It will then fall to 7.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will rise to 7.5 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
