Description:
Warm temperatures, low humidity and breezy southwest winds will
lead to critical fire weather conditions over portions of the
area this afternoon, mainly west of Highway 83 and south of
Interstate 70 where a Red Flag Warning is in effect. A Fire
Weather Watch remains in effect on Monday for Greeley and Wichita
counties in Kansas.

THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 041 AND 042...
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 041 Greeley and 042 Wichita.
* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon MDT /1 PM CDT/
today to 9 PM MDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening. For the Fire Weather
Watch, Monday afternoon and evening.
* WINDS...Southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph today
and Monday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent today and Monday.
* IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop
may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
Instruction:
Comply with burn bans and regulations. Avoid driving on dry grass
or brush. Maintain vehicle brakes and tires and secure tow chains
to avoid dragging. Never toss lit cigarettes onto the ground.
