Description: 
Warm temperatures, low humidity and breezy southwest winds will lead to critical fire weather conditions over portions of the area Sunday afternoon, mainly south of I-70 and west of Highway 83 where a Red Flag Warning is in effect. A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect Monday for Greeley and Wichita counties in Kansas. ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 041 AND 042... * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 041 Greeley and 042 Wichita. * TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon MDT /1 PM CDT/ to 9 PM MDT /10 PM CDT/ Sunday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Monday morning through Monday evening. * WINDS...Southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.

Comply with burn bans and regulations. Avoid driving on dry grass or brush. Maintain vehicle brakes and tires and secure tow chains to avoid dragging. Never toss lit cigarettes onto the ground.
