Description:
...Critical Fire Weather Conditions Possible Sunday and Monday... .A combination of warm temperatures, low humidity and wind gusts of 25-30 mph is forecast to lead to critical fire weather conditions Sunday. The strongest winds are forecast during the mid to late afternoon hours. There is some question in the duration of the winds however keeping confidence just low enough to preclude from upgrading to a Red Flag Warning currently. For Monday the strongest winds are currently forecast to be during the mid to late afternoon across Wichita and Greeley counties. The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Monday morning through Monday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 041 Greeley and 042 Wichita. * TIMING...For the first Fire Weather Watch, from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. For the second Fire Weather Watch, from Monday morning through Monday evening. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph for both Sunday and Monday. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 14 percent Sunday and as low as 10 percent Monday. * IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
