The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a
* Dust Advisory for...
Northern Trego County in west central Kansas...
* Until 915 PM CDT.
* At 834 PM CDT, a dust channel was 8 miles north of Quinter, moving
northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind in excess
of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Public reported blowing dust and lower visibilities along
I 70 near Grainfield.
IMPACT...Hazardous travel.
Locations impacted include...
Wakeeney, Ogallah, Collyer, Voda, and Riga.
Instruction:
Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
