Northwestern Appanoose County in south central Iowa... * Until 1000 PM CDT. * At 908 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado were located along a line extending from near Derby to 4 miles northwest of Millerton to near Allerton, moving east at 65 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * These dangerous storms will be near... Chariton, Corydon, Rathbun Lake, Russell, Millerton, and Red Haw Lake State Park around 915 PM CDT. Melrose around 920 PM CDT. Mystic and Honey Creek State Park around 925 PM CDT.
