Eastern Clarke County in south central Iowa... * Until 930 PM CDT. * At 839 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Van Wert, or 7 miles northwest of Leon, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Van Wert and Weldon around 845 PM CDT. Le Roy around 855 PM CDT. Derby around 910 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Grand River, Le Roy, Weldon, Derby, Woodburn, and Van Wert. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 16 and 33.
