At 419 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Postville, or 13 miles south of Waukon, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Clayton and southwestern Allamakee Counties, including the following locations... Volney, County Roads X 16 And B 38, State Road 76 And County X 16, State Road 51 And County W 48, Hardin, Rossville, and Luana.
