Southeastern Clarke County in south central Iowa... * Until 545 PM CDT. * At 457 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Van Wert, or 9 miles north of Leon, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Le Roy around 505 PM CDT. Humeston and Derby around 515 PM CDT. Russell and Red Haw Lake State Park around 535 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Red Haw Lake State Park, Derby, Millerton, Lucas, Woodburn, Van Wert, Williamson, Weldon, Humeston, and Le Roy.
