At 1028 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles north of Ogden to 4 miles south of Roland to near State Center. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 55 mph possible with storms. SOURCE...Trained weather spotter reported an estimated wind gust of 50 to 55 mph. Weather stations also reporting wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Ames, Boone, Nevada, Story City, State Center, Roland, Jewell Junction, Gilbert, Iowa State Center, Boone Speedway, Colo, Melbourne, Zearing, Ellsworth, Albion, Collins, Stanhope, McCallsburg, Rhodes, and Liscomb. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 108 and 133.
