Description:
WHAT...Gusty winds becoming from the west and northwest sustained
at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to around 40 mph. These winds may
cause localized blowing dust, especially where open fields were
recently plowed. In addition, elevated fire weather conditions may
exist due to these winds and dry conditions.
WHERE...North of Highway 30 and along and west of I-35.
WHEN...Until at least mid-afternoon.
IMPACTS...Unsecured outdoor objects may be blown around and smaller
tree branches may break. Visibility may be reduced due to blowing
dust. Any fires that ignite may spread rapidly.
PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS...Use extra caution when
driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle on
north/south roads, and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions
and reduced visibility. Burning is discouraged.
