Description: 
At 806 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5 miles northeast of Villisca, or 8 miles west of Corning, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, half inch hail, and additional rainfall up to one inch. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Ponding of water on roadways, low visibilities, and rises in small streams and creeks. Locations impacted include... Creston, Corning, Lenox, Lake Icaria, Green Valley Lake, Afton, Clearfield, Diagonal, Prescott, Tingley, Nodaway, Cromwell, Arispe, Sharpsburg, Shannon City, Kent, Carbon, Creston Municipal Airport, Corning Municipal Airport, and Lake Icaria State Park.
Instruction: 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
