* Until 645 PM CDT.
* At 536 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Collett, or 9
miles south of Fairfield, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Fairfield, Mount Pleasant, New London, Batavia, Birmingham, Salem,
Libertyville, Stockport, Lockridge, Maharishi Vedic City,
Hillsboro, Rome, Westwood, Mount Union, Douds, Lowell, Leando,
Henry County Fairgrounds, Oakland Mills, and Glasgow.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southeastern
Iowa.
