At 1255 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Sinsinawa to near Mount Carroll, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Dubuque, Clinton, Camanche, Asbury, Bellevue, Cascade, East Dubuque, Peosta, Preston, Sabula, Miles, Andrew, Charlotte, Low Moor, La Motte, Springbrook, St. Donatus, Sageville, Bernard, and Andover.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread wind damage across Eastern Iowa. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
