At 852 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Alta, or 8
miles northwest of Storm Lake, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Public. At 842 pm, Half-dollar sized hail was reported 3
miles southeast of Cherokee, IA.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
