Description:
At 443 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles southeast of Shelby to 2 miles northwest of
Oakland to 4 miles northwest of Macedonia, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Oakland, Avoca, Carson, Macedonia, Hancock and Walnut.
This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 31 and 48.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for southwestern
Iowa.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
