Description: 
At 419 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Monti to Toddville to West Amana, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, Robins, Center Point, Fairfax, Atkins, Walford, Urbana, Palo, Shellsburg, Newhall, Walker, Blairstown, Van Horne, Alburnett, Shueyville, Norway, Toddville, and Troy Mills. This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 12 and 43.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northeastern and east central Iowa. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
