Description:
At 226 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Brighton to near Lockridge to near
Memphis. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Fairfield, Mount Pleasant, Washington, Columbus Junction, Memphis,
Keosauqua, New London, Winfield, Wayland, Brighton, Ainsworth,
Birmingham, Milton, Bonaparte, Columbus City, Salem, Libertyville,
Stockport, Lockridge, and Crawfordsville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
southeastern Iowa.
