Mississippi River at Gladstone LD18 affecting Des Moines and Henderson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Burlington. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water affects low lying buildings and homes in Montrose and Niota. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.4 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 16.4 feet early Wednesday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The next statement will be issued Friday morning at 1130 AM CDT.
