Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...Illinois...
Mississippi River at Burlington affecting Hancock, Des Moines,
Henderson and Lee Counties.
Mississippi River at Gladstone LD18 affecting Des Moines and
Henderson Counties.
.Additional rounds of rainfall during the first half of next week
may result in a longer and higher crest on this portion of the
Mississippi River.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Burlington.
* WHEN...From late Sunday night to early Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Agricultural flooding occurs.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.8 feet and
gradually rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Sunday night to a crest of 15.1 feet Monday evening and
then hold steady.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
