Description:
The flash flood threat continues this morning. The greatest risk is
between Iowa Highway 92 and Iowa Highway 2, centered on U.S. Highway
34. Flash flooding is possible outside that band especially in urban
areas.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west
central Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa,
Dallas and Polk. In south central Iowa, Madison and Union. In
southwest Iowa, Adair, Adams, Cass and Taylor. In west central
Iowa, Audubon and Guthrie.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM CDT this morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Training storms with heavy rainfall may lead to localized
flash flooding early this morning.
