Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...
Chariton River near Chariton affecting Lucas, Appanoose, Wayne
and Monroe Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...The Chariton River near Chariton, or from Wolf Creek to
Rathbun Reservoir.
* WHEN...From this evening to early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 19.8 feet, Water affects 450th St.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 19.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 6.2 feet Tuesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 19.5 feet.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
