Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...
Cedar River near Conesville affecting Muscatine and Louisa
Counties.
Iowa River near Lone Tree affecting Johnson, Louisa and
Washington Counties.
English River at Kalona affecting Johnson and Washington Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Iowa River near Lone Tree.
* WHEN...From late Thursday night to early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Flood waters affect parts of Lola Lane and
Y Avenue. River Junction Access Park is closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.2 feet and
beginning to rise.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early Friday
morning to 16.6 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then
fall below flood stage Friday afternoon to 13.5 feet Saturday
morning. It will rise to 14.2 feet Sunday morning. It will
then fall again and remain below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
