Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton Counties. .Additional rainfall Thursday night could prolong flooding into early next week. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, overbank flooding occurs. Water affects residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water affects businesses along the river near Calamus. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday, the stage was 12.2 feet. - The river has crested and is beginning to fall. - Forecast...The river is expected to slowly fall through the weekend and below flood stage on Saturday. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The next statement will be issued by Thursday morning at 1000 AM CDT.
