Illinois... Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton Counties. Rock River at Como affecting Whiteside County. Rock River at Moline affecting Rock Island and Henry IL Counties. Rock River near Joslin affecting Rock Island, Henry IL and Whiteside Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S. Highway 61 near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.3 feet. - The river is currently cresting. - Forecast...The river is cresting this evening and will begin to fall overnight. It is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 9.3 feet Tuesday, April 28. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
