Iowa River at Marengo affecting Benton and Iowa Counties.
English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...English River at Kalona.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Agricultural land along the river begins
to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet and steady.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tonight. However, more rain is forecast Friday night
that may result in the river rising again.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
