At 956 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Beech Grove to near Shelbyville to 6 miles northwest of Columbus. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Columbus, Shelbyville, Greenfield, Greensburg, Rushville, Adams, Edinburgh, Knightstown, Hope, Flat Rock, Milford, Geneva, Morristown, St. Paul, Carthage, Hartsville, Fairland, Milroy, Clifford, and Newbern. This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 70 and 85. Interstate 70 between mile markers 110 and 117. Interstate 74 between mile markers 105 and 138.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
