Description:
At 603 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Akron, or 9 miles east of Rochester, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Columbia City, North Manchester, South Whitley, Akron, Mentone,
Silver Lake, Claypool, Larwill, Burket, Sidney, Collamer, Liberty
Mills, Beaver Dam Lake, Sevastopol, Bippus, Beaver Dam, Luther,
Peabody, Ijamsville, and Bracken.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
north central and northeastern Indiana.
