At 257 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Otterbein,
moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, West Lafayette, Shadeland, Dayton, Battle Ground, and
Purdue University.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 166 and 179.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
