Description:
At 1128 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near New Castle to 7 miles east of Shelbyville, moving
east at 65 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Shelbyville, Greenfield, New Castle, Greensburg, Rushville, Adams,
Edinburgh, Knightstown, Flat Rock, Milford, Geneva, Morristown, St.
Paul, Carthage, Spiceland, Shirley, Kennard, Wilkinson, Lewisville,
and Fairland.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 77 and 86.
Interstate 70 between mile markers 105 and 133.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 107 and 144.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
