Description:
At 935 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 12 miles northeast of Veedersburg to 7 miles east of
Newport, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Crawfordsville, Thorntown, Ladoga, Waynetown, Darlington, Linden,
Colfax, New Market, Waveland, New Ross, New Richmond, Wingate,
Wallace, Alamo, Turkey Run State Park, and Shades State Park.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 149 and 153.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 23 and 48.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
