Description:
At 658 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Oldenburg,
moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph, half inch hail, and very heavy
rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to
vegetation. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hamilton, Oxford, Brookville, Liberty, West College Corner,
Oldenburg, Darrtown, Salem, Reily, Blooming Grove, Metamora,
Millville, Laurel, Scipio, College Corner, Cedar Grove, Mount Carmel,
Dunlapsville, Whitewater State Park, and Mounds State Recreation
Area.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southeastern and east central Indiana...and southwestern and west
central Ohio.
