Description:
At 1125 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Santa Claus to near St. Joseph. Movement
was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Owensboro, Rockport, Dale, Grandview, Whitesville, Santa Claus,
Knottsville, St. Joseph, Masonville, Stanley, Eureka, Chrisney, Troy,
Gentryville, Moseleyville, and Pleasant Ridge.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 165 between Mile Markers 60 and 70.
Interstate 64 in Indiana between Mile Markers 55 and 60.
Audubon Parkway between Mile Markers 16 and 23.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for southwestern
Indiana...and northwestern Kentucky.
