...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Montezuma. .Heavy rainfall of upwards of six inches since Saturday night in the Wabash basin is bringing minor flooding to portions of the Wabash River. Lowland minor flooding is expected from Montezuma through Riverton. The Wabash is expected to crest at Montezuma on Friday afternoon. Downstream at Riverton, minor flooding is expected to continue well into next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 15.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:45 PM EDT Wednesday was 15.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.6 feet early Friday afternoon.
