Description:
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and
locations in Indiana...
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
East Fork White River at Seymour.
White River at Elliston.
...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers and
locations in Indiana...
East Fork White River near Rivervale.
White River at Hazleton and Petersburg.
.Pockets of locally heavy rainfall yesterday brought additional
rises to area rivers and brought minor lowland flooding to the
Driftwood River near Edinburgh and the East Fork White at Seymour.
Rivervale remains in flood, which should come to an end Saturday
evening. The water level on the lower White from Elliston
downstream will be near bankfull to lowland flooding. Flooding at
Hazleton should last well into Wednesday, June 3, bringing flooding
to an end on the White River.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, County Road 250 West from State Road 56
floods and blocks the vehicle access to Dodge City. During the
March 2008 flood the river remained above this level from late
afternoon March 19 through April 9. As mid-March 2011 high water
was receding...SR 257 south of Washington reopened when Shoals was
at 10.5 feet and falling steadily for the past 2 days.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was
20.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ was
21.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Tuesday evening and continue falling and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

dangers of flooding.
