...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
White River at Edwardsport, Newberry, Elliston, Hazleton,
Petersburg.
.Multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall over the last couple
of days is bringing widespread minor lowland river flooding to
central and southern Indiana. Isolated moderate flooding is
possible. More rounds of rainfall going into and through the holiday
weekend could make the flooding last longer and bring higher crests.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Newberry.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flood waters block access and begins to
surround about 5 to 10 river cabins on south side of the river
just southwest of Newberry.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 17.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Friday was 17.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Sunday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Instruction:
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
