Description:
...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and
locations in Indiana...
East Fork White River at Seymour, near Rivervale, near Bedford,
and at Williams.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following river and location
in Indiana...
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
.Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall over the last few days has
brought moderate flooding to the Seymour area on the East Fork White
and widespread minor lowland flooding elsewhere in the East Fork
White basin. The crest on the East Fork is slightly past Seymour.
Flooding along the lower East Fork is expected to last through most
of next week. More rounds of rainfall the next few days, mainly
Friday and Friday night, could make the flooding last longer and
bring higher crests for downriver points.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Fork White River at Williams.
* WHEN...From Friday evening to Saturday, May 30.
* IMPACTS...At 11.2 feet, Extensive river flooding in progress.
Several local roads are flooded including SR 450 just east of
Williams and Stumphole Bridge Rd. Local residents use Ridge Road
to travel from Williams to Bedford at this level and higher.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 7.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 11.6 feet early Monday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday, May 29.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
